Tasting Session Recap | At 1004 Gourmet (Onyx Tower)

On Sunday, May 24, 2025, we held the very first JHL+ Dubai tasting session at 1004 Gourmet in Dubai’s Onyx Tower.
On a weekend afternoon, many guests stopped by our booth and enjoyed their very first encounter with Gynura bicolor. Conversations began with simple questions like “What is Gynura bicolor?” and “What does it taste like?” — and we saw, again and again, the moment people’s expressions softened after that first sip.
Gynura bicolor is a traditional leafy vegetable long cultivated in the Kaga region of Ishikawa Prefecture. Its vivid purple leaves are packed with body-loving nutrients such as anthocyanins, iron, and dietary fiber. Our product is made with 100% Gynura bicolor — a straightforward cup that relies on no additives, only the inherent power of the plant itself. That’s why it’s something you can feel good about enjoying every day. This commitment will never change for us.
Our COO was also on site that day, speaking directly with each guest. The story behind the product, our passion for Kaga vegetables, and our pride in Japanese craftsmanship — with every conversation, we were reminded of just how important it is to know the people behind what you consume.
With trust in products made in Japan and an unwavering respect for natural ingredients as our two guiding principles, we’ll continue moving forward one step at a time.
And now, we’re moving into the next phase: rolling out in cafés. It won’t be long before Gynura bicolor–based drinks start appearing on menus near you. Stay tuned.
We hope you’ll continue to support JHL+ and Gynura bicolor.

Event Recap | Tasting Session at 1004 Gourmet, Onyx Tower
On Sunday, May 24th, JHL+ hosted its first-ever tasting session at 1004 Gourmet, located in Onyx Tower, Dubai.
On a warm weekend afternoon, guests stopped by our booth with curiosity — and many left with something they hadn't expected: a new favorite wellness ritual. Conversations started simply: "What is Kinjiso?" or "What does it taste like?" — and more often than not, one sip was all it took.
Kinjiso (Gynura Bicolor) is a traditional leafy vegetable from Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. Its striking purple leaves are rich in anthocyanins, iron, and dietary fiber — nutrients that the body genuinely appreciates. Our product is made from 100% Kinjiso, with nothing added and nothing hidden. Just the plant, at its best. That simplicity is exactly what makes it something people can — and want to — take every single day.
Our COO was on the floor throughout the event, speaking directly with guests about the story behind the product: the heritage of Kaga vegetables, the care that goes into Japanese manufacturing, and the values that drive everything we do at JHL+. Those conversations reminded us, once again, why showing up in person matters.
Made in Japan. Rooted in nature. Built for everyday life.
And the journey continues — café activations are now in the works, bringing Kinjiso-based drinks to more tables, more moments, and more people across the region. We can't wait to share what's coming next.
Thank you to everyone who visited us at 1004 Gourmet. Your curiosity, your questions, and your smiles made the day everything we hoped it would be.
